Well, this weekend was the regional tournament held by Bull Sooters. There were a large number of people there; more than expected. They had to limit the losers bracket to 1 game because they didn’t bring enough boards!
I played in the tournament. I played in several events, but did not do as well as I had hoped. There were a number of exceptional players there. I was very impressed with some of the ladies there. WOW, can they throw darts!
The Lucky Devils Monday night tournament has changed. Instead of it being a 10 week tournament, it is now a weekly tournament. Every week, if no one wins the out - then the pot grows,
However, there is a catch to it. You have to play two consecutive weeks to be eligible for the pay out.
The 10 week Monday night TOurnament at Lucky Devils ended on 11/5/07. The $1,000 guaranteed payout was won by Cal and Red.
WOW!! There were many, many winners for this 10 week tournament. The bar kept drawing and splitting the money until all was gone. I think there were 7 checks written totalling the $1,000 payout.
Lucky Devils has an after league tournament that starts at 11 PM on Wednesday nights. Drop off your score sheet and stay for the fun and festivities.
Well league has started again and there is much controversy. The reason is that it seems all teams were put in a different division than they requested.
From my understanding this occurred because there were only 2 teams signed up for division 1. Therefore, the 6 teams that were in division 2 last season were moved up and subsequently, all other teams were also moved up. There is no division 7 team this season. Some poeple say that they should have moved division 1 down, but all in all - each team would still be playing the same teams regardless of whether you moved up or down.

Another 10 week tournament with a $1,000 payout at Lucky Devils. Come out on Monday nights at 8:30 PM and play for a chance to win the guaranteed money.
The winners of the $1,000 payout were Derrick & Kara.
The first drawing was Derrick and Kristina, but Kristina wasn’t there, so Derrick still got his portion - $500; then another number was drawn. It was Kara and I forget which partner…, but only Kara was present. She got $250 (half of the $500) and then another number was drawn. It was Kara and Derrick so they split the remaining $250.
Derrick walked away with $625 and kara got $375! Congratulations to both winners. 
There are two tournaments on the Northwest side of Houston on Friday nights. One is at Sports Station and is at 9 PM every Friday evening. The other is at Lucky Devils and starts at 8:30 PM.
My personal opinion is the one at Sports Station has more of an advanced crowd. Not to slight the players at Lucky Devil’s. I think even they will admit that there are more “advanced” players at Sports Station.
